20 June 2022 – Singapore – Singapore-based cryptocurrency payment solutions platform TripleA receives funding as the first investee of Insignia Ventures Partners’ Moonshot Fellowship, the Southeast Asia venture capital firm’s program to invest in and support ventures building important infrastructures and laying the foundations for the still-nascent web3 ecosystem. This funding is part of a US$4M round led by zVentures, Razer’s corporate venture arm. 

This round unlocks strategic opportunities for TripleA, including greater access to Razer’s gaming community as a key vertical for the crypto payments platform. Then there is also TripleA’s inclusion into the Moonshot Fellowship, where, in addition to receiving funding, TripleA becomes part of a community of fellow web3 ventures in the region receiving shared support in navigating the challenges of scaling in emerging markets.

Crypto wallet adoption and usage have ballooned massively especially in Southeast Asia, where for example the Philippines has more crypto wallets than ewallets. TripleA is filling a market gap by allowing businesses to pay and get paid in crypto without the hassle and risk of having cryptocurrencies on their balance sheets. Businesses can increase revenues by tapping into 300m+ cryptocurrency users in a regulated and compliant manner.

TripleA is the first crypto payments company which earned the Digital Payment Token licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing the company to provide end-to-end cryptocurrency payment services for businesses in full compliance with global regulatory standards. They are also one of five startups selected for the Visa Accelerator Programme in APAC, and were also selected as the global cryptocurrency payment gateway for Binance Pay.
